Drag it

A real one. Featured on HGTV. And you'd never know.

Tall Drink Rainwater Harvesting builds catchment systems outside Austin. Zak has been on House Hunters Renovation. His site was built in 2015 and has no phone number on the homepage, no button to press, and the HGTV credit shrunk to a badge in the corner. Drag the handle.

Their site today The rebuild

Same business, same phone number, same HGTV episode. Nothing on the left is invented — that's their live homepage, typo and all. The only thing that changed on the right is which facts get to be the first thing you see.

What you get

Six things, and none of them are a template.

Every site is built from scratch in one of five design directions — the five in the deck above. Your competitor down the street cannot end up with the same page.

Most five-page sites at this price are one page duplicated with the city name changed. Google's helpful-content system demotes those, which is how a cheap site ends up ranking worse than no site at all. If you only have three services, you get three service pages and two area pages — not five thin ones.
You get a link you can open on your own phone and send to whoever you trust. If something's wrong, tell me and I'll change it. If it isn't for you, close the tab — no invoice, no deposit, nothing to cancel. A mockup image hides everything that matters: how fast it loads, how it feels under your thumb, whether the phone number is where you'd reach for it.
The order is the whole trick. Design the desktop first and the phone version becomes whatever survives the squeeze — which is why so many local sites bury the phone number three scrolls down on a phone but put it in the header on a laptop. Building the small one first forces the hard choice early: one message, one button, one image on the first screen.
LocalBusiness structured data, so Google reads your hours, services and area as data instead of guessing from your paragraphs. A unique title per page — most cheap five-page sites ship five pages sharing one, and Google picks one and ignores the rest. And your Business Profile wired in, so the hours on the site are the hours on Google.
It goes straight to your phone as a notification you actually see. No login, no dashboard, no "you have 1 new inquiry" buried in the Promotions tab. The failure I'm designing against is boring and real: someone fills your form on a Saturday afternoon, you find out on Tuesday, and by then they've called the next business on the list.
One HTML file served from Cloudflare's edge network, so it loads from a machine near whoever's asking. A page that takes four seconds on 4G loses about half the people waiting. The quieter benefit is that nothing breaks on its own: there are no plugins to auto-update, so the site you approve in September is the site running the following March.

Pricing

Three ways to do this. All of them tell you the price.

Pick one — they don’t stack. The first buys a website. The second buys a website and someone who owns the problem when it breaks. The third is a different job again.

Own it

$1,200one time

You pay once, the site is yours, and we're square.

  • Five pages, built and written
  • Your domain, your hosting account, your code
  • Hosting runs about $0/mo on Cloudflare
  • Domain runs $10–$20/yr, paid at cost to the registrar
  • One round of changes after launch, then $85/hr if you want more
See a free draft

Keep it running

$400one time, then $149/mo

You get the site, and someone whose job it is when something breaks.

  • The whole Own it build, included
  • Two changes a month — hours, prices, photos, staff — extras quoted first
  • Hosting, domain renewal, and uptime monitoring handled
  • Your domain stays in your name, always
  • Cancel any month with 30 days’ notice
  • Buy the site outright any time for $800 — fixed the day you sign
See a free draft

Put it to work

from$2,500one time, then $249/mo

For when the website isn't the job. The leads are.

  • The whole Keep it running plan, plus the machinery behind it
  • Every lead delivered the moment it lands, by the channels we agree at setup
  • An alert if a lead has been sitting unanswered
  • A weekly summary: how many came in, where from, which are still open
  • Cancel any month — the site is already yours, only the systems stop
  • Google Business Profile wired in, review requests after each job
  • Extra pages, extra locations, or booking wired into what you already use
  • Scoped and priced on the call, before you spend anything
Tell me what you need

The free homepage is unconditional on all three. You see your real homepage before you pay anything, whichever way you go — on Put it to work the system work starts once you're in, not before. Changing words or images on a page that already exists is an edit. Changing what the page is — a new page, a new section, a new feature — is new work, and I quote it before I do it. What moves a build price is scope: more than five pages, e-commerce, ordering, or a business with a lot to explain. I'll tell you on the call, before you've spent anything — not in an invoice afterwards.

How it works

Three steps, and you risk nothing in the first two.

01

A 15-minute call

What you do, who you serve, and what you want someone to do when they land on the page. No deck, no discovery document, no invoice.

02

I build your homepage

Two to three days. You get a live preview link — the real page, on your phone. Still $0 at this point.

03

You say go

Remaining pages, your domain, launch. Five business days from the call to a live site.

The guarantee

If you don't like the draft, you owe nothing and I delete it. No deposit, no kill fee, no awkward conversation. You'd have spent fifteen minutes.

Proof

You are the testimonial.

Every site in this category has the same wall of five-star quotes from people you've never met, next to a stock photo of someone in a headset. You skim past it. So do I.

I'd rather earn it in front of you. I build your homepage first, free — your business, your words, live on your own phone before a dollar moves. If it's good, you'll know before I tell you, and you'll say so in your own voice. That's the only testimonial worth having.

Questions

The five things people ask on the call.

What does it actually cost?
Three ways. $1,200 flat for five pages, paid once and it's yours. $400 up front plus $149/month if you'd rather I keep it running. Or from $2,500 plus $249/month if you want the lead machinery behind it too — routing, alerts, a weekly summary. Hosting is about $0/month on Cloudflare and the domain runs $10–$20 a year depending on the ending, paid straight to the registrar in your name. No setup fee hides behind any of those numbers.
How long does it take?
Five business days from the call to a live site, assuming I have your photos and your service list. Your homepage draft lands on day two or three, which is the part most people care about.
Do I actually own it?
Depends which way you go, and I'd rather say so here than on the call. On Own it, yes — the domain is registered in your name, the hosting account is yours, and I hand you the code. On Keep it running your domain and your content are always yours; the build stays mine while you're subscribed, and $800 buys it outright whenever you want — the $400 setup and that $800 add up to the $1,200 you'd have paid anyway. On Put it to work you pay the build in full up front, so the site is yours from the start and cancelling only stops the lead systems. The domain is the part that traps people elsewhere, and it never gets held hostage here.
I already have a website. Is it worth replacing?
Sometimes not, and I'll say so. If your current site loads in under two seconds on a phone, shows your phone number without scrolling, and you're getting calls from it, keep it. Bring it to the call and I'll tell you honestly.
What if I need changes later?
On Own it, it's $85/hour, and most edits are well under an hour. On Keep it running and Put it to work, two content changes a month — hours, prices, photos, a new staff member — are part of the fee, and anything bigger I quote before I do it. Either way you email or text me; there's no ticket system.
